Today, the board of Directors and staff of African Sex Workers Alliance (ASWA) are thrilled to welcome Grace Nyarath as the new Program Coordinator of the Africa Leadership Sex Workers Academy (ALESWA). A renowned feminist sex worker leader and distinguished expert on the intersectionality of sex work, feminism and mental health. Nyarath most recently served as the Program Officer of Kisumu Sex Workers Alliance (KISWA). She joined the ALESWA Faculty in 2022 and she has expert facilitation skills.
Under Nyarath’s leadership, there has been the formation of feminist sex workers leadership. She has been providing mental health counselling to sex workers as well as psychosocial services to sex workers who are violated.
