Global Fund New Funding Model 4 (NFM4)-Allocation Cycle 2023-2025

The Global Fund new funding model 4 runs through 2023 to 2025 and has been updated based on lessons learned during the previous models/cycles. These updates were designed to improve the impact of Global Fund resources and were on the eligibility criteria, allocation methodology, application approaches, required information for inclusion with the funding request, and priority areas for catalytic investments.

Community, Rights and Gender (CRG) Regional Platforms

The Regional Platforms for Communication and Coordination were established in 6 regions of the world by the Global Fund within its Community, Rights and Gender Special Initiative (CRG-SI).

The platforms provide ‘The Community, Rights and Gender Technical Assistance (CRG TA)’ which is a program created to help civil society and community organizations and networks make sure that barriers related to community engagement, human rights, and gender equity are addressed by Global Fund grants that are being implemented through technical assistance (TA) programs.

  1. ANGLOPHONE AFRICA CRG PLATFORM: The Anglophone Africa Communities, Rights, and Gender (AACRG) Platform is a Communications and Coordination Platform for Civil Society and Community Groups that are involved in the response to fight HIV, TB and Malaria in the African Anglophone countries.The Eastern Africa National Networks of AIDS Service Organization (EANNASO) was selected to host the AACRG Platform.EANNASO has been providing technical assistance (TA) to ASWA members across Francophone Africa.We urge our members who have not yet received technical assistance on the Global Fund allocation 2023-2025 to engage EANNASO to receive the TA support.
  1. FRANCOPHONE AFRICA CRG PLATFORM: The Francophone Africa Communities, Rights, and Gender (FACRG) Platform is a Communications and Coordination Platform for Civil Society and Community Groups that are involved in the response to fight HIV, TB and Malaria in the African Francophone countries.

Réseau Accès aux Médicaments Essentiels (RAME) was selected to host the FACRG Platform.

One of the objectives of the platforms for the 2023 –2025 funding cycle is to enhance community knowledge of the Global Fund and its processes, through the regular bi-directional sharing of tailored and targeted information to a diverse audience.

The mandate of platforms is to raise awareness of civil society and communities about technical assistance opportunities under the Global Fund’s CRG TA program, and to assist the interested parties in development of the quality TA requests for the CRG Technical Assistance.
